As members of the Information Center of the Council of Human Rights Rapporteurs in Cuba, we urgently call upon the International Community since Cuban State Security has intensified the repression against us as of July 15, 2010, when our three telephones were all disconnected. A regular landline phone and two mobile phones (which we must pay at astronomically high prices) are urgent and essential necessities for the three handicapped individuals, two of them blind, who occupy our dwelling.
Cuban Military Intelligence has threatened to imprison and to impose a fine of $500 dollars to the following activists: Juan Carlos González Leiva, Tania Maceda Guerra, Yudel and Yusbel Gónzalez Reyes. Sergio Díaz Larrastegui, who is blind, and the owner of said dwelling, was denied his retirement income for the month of June ( 185 pesos in national currency ) and is being systematically threatened with suffering further reprisals by the Cuban office of the National Association for the Blind if he does not eject us from his home. We are permanently being followed and are under surveillance by agents of the Cuban political police. Independent journalist, Doralis Alvárez Soto, who’s already been granted a U.S. Visa, was denied the exit permit card to permanently leave the country by Cuban authorities as a form of reprisal for the work she does at the Council of Human Rights Rapporteurs in Cuban (CRDHC).
All these acts of repression against us are intimidating measures to punish our monthly reports and denunciations that document the abuses that the Cuban government presently continues to commit.

Los integrantes del Centro de Información del Consejo de Relatores de Derechos Humanos de Cuba hacemos un llamado de auxilio a la Comunidad y Opinión Pública Internacional, pues la Seguridad del Estado de Cuba ha recrudecido la represión contra nosotros: desde el jueves 15 de julio, 2010 nos cortó los 3 teléfonos, incluyendo los 2 móviles que pagamos a precios astronómicos por divisa y a pesar de que vivimos en esta casa 3 personas discapacitadas, 2 de ellas ciegas con necesidades urgentes e imprescindibles de estos servicios. Además los militares de la Inteligencia Cubana han amenazado a Juan Carlos González Leiva, Tania Maceda Guerra, Yudel y Yusbel González Reyes con la cárcel y una multa de hasta 500 dólares USA. Al invidente Sergio Díaz Larrastegui le retiraron la chequera de jubilado correspondiente al mes de junio (185 pesos moneda nacional y constantemente lo llaman desde las oficinas de la Asociación nacional del Ciego para amenazarlo de más represalias si no nos expulsa de su vivienda, la cual permanece permanentemente vigilada y bajo acciones de los agentes de la policía política cubana . A la reportera independiente Doralis Alvarez Soto le negó la tarjeta blanca o permiso de salida definitiva del país en represalias por su labor en el CRDHC, a pesar de tener visa estadounidense. Este nuevo repunte represivo es una medida de intimidación y castigo por nuestros reportes y denuncias de los abusos que el Gobierno continúa cometiendo actualmente.
