Here at IFCO/Pastors for Peace we have recently become aware of action by right-wing Cuban-Americans in New York City. The “Cuba: ¡Cambio Ya! Campaign” has called for a “Pro-Democracy” rally to take place this Sunday, March 1st, from 1-3 pm at the Cuban Mission to the United Nations. The demo is described on the internet blog of right wing Cuban-American Alexis Romay as a protest "in favor of liberty..... and against the Castro regime.”
Their demands are nothing new. In fact, they are stale and uncreative rhetoric, and the time for these old ideas is long since over. We invite you to show your support for Cuba and against the cruel and inhuman US Blockade, it is time to make our voices heard!
Let’s show that our closest neighbor to the south has more friends than enemies here in the United States! This is an URGENT CALL TO ACTION!
