Tropica storm Erika....

The current Tropical storm Erika is a threat currently in the Caribbean and, a potential threat to south Florida, as a potential Hurricane.

This is historic because the storm is due to the Cuban exiles and the embargo!

Historic Arrest in Cuba

Last Friday the word "HISTORIC" was blindly used by newscasters and journalist in describing the US Embassy opening in Havana. A poem was even read by a Cuban-American(my poem was not recited) even though dissidents were left out of the ceremonies. The Cuban people got a TREAT less than 48hrs after the embassy opening:

Cuba for Dummies

PHOTO: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Havana City Historian Eusebio Leal, peer into the interior of a classic American car parked in Old Havana, Friday, Aug. 14, 2015. Kerry walked in the historic Plaza de San Francisco, accompanied by Leal, stopping to look in shops and greet local residents and store owners. Kerry traveled to the Cuban capital to raise the U.S. flag and formally reopen the long-closed U.S. Embassy. (AP Photo/Ramon Espinosa)

I don't know how much I can STOMACH the word Historic on the embassy opening in Havana, and  the obligatory 3 classic cars strategically placed in the background for millions to see.  In reality a NON-HISTORIC SAD day. Do the people of Cuba have FREEDOM? NOOOOO!!!

and the insulting thing is Bruno "el patato don" Rodriguez  instead of having a nice, nice, tone, instead he lashes out to the US and makes DEMANDS, while Kerry practically bends over:

Here are some of Bruno's quotes:

“Cuba isn’t a place where there’s racial discrimination, police brutality or deaths resulting from those problems,” Rodriguez said. “The territory where torture occurs and people are held in legal limbo isn’t under Cuban jurisdiction.”

I emphasized that the totally lifting of the blockade, the return of the illegally occupied territory of Guantanamo, as well as the full respect for the Cuban sovereignty and the compensation to our people for human and economic damages are crucial to be able to move towards the normalization of relations.

So in fact, we feel that the recognition of the need to lift the blockade against Cuba,

Historic Day in Cuba?

The word HISTORIC is being said a thousand times today, but in reality a NON-HISTORIC SAD day for freedom. If you think different than that of the dictatorship in Cuba and that of the Obama regime, you are NOT even considered in regards to Cuba.

I am not a poet, but I have a poem for this NON-HISTORIC day and the continued betrayal of the Cuban people:

56 years of misery,

caused by a diabolical tyranny,

why must the Cuban people continue to suffer?

millions have been oppressed,

yet they get NO press?

My God, my God, why have you forsaken us?

Our faith, endurance, and confidence continually test us!

All we ask is for Cuba to be FREE,

Not those who sell their dignity!!!

Not just the opening of Embassies

Kerry speaking with glee at the embassy

BUT THE CUBAN PEOPLE ARE NOT FREE!

Is that to much of your flock to ask of thee?

Just as Our Lady has asked us to fast and pray,

we come to your arms dear Lord looking for that DAY!!!!!

Cuba SELFIE for the day......Historic

Cuba for Dummies!!

The day before the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Havana, The Plaid Dictator :

CASTRO TO AMERICA: YOU OWE US MILLIONS!

Millions due to the embargo? Yes, Alfredo!!! ALL of Cuba's problems are due to the embargo and the blog El Cafe Cubano.

NO, it does not matter the Cuba can trade with 195 out of the 196 countries in the world. Doesn't matter that Cuba has traded and has had relations with Canada and Europe for YEARS.

It does NOT MATTER that FIFO stole properties, NATIONALIZED banks, and imprisoned thousands........It's the embargo and the Cuban Exiles fault for ALL of Cuba's woes!!

NON-Historic Day!

The news media all abuzz and throwing words like Historic a thousand times concerning the Embassy opening. Biff and Jane spouting that this is wonderful and singing kumbaya.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This has changed NOTHING for the Cuban people

Letter to Archbishop Wenski

Dear Archbishop Wenski,

This is a letter to wish you well, that God will bring you many blessings, and to ask your help in regards to Cuba. On September 20 (Havana) the Holy Mass is scheduled for 9am in Havana’s Revolution Square. The first request for help: Please cover the image of Che Guevara, and have the image of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ instead! The image of Jesus Christ beaming to millions on TV and to those in Cuba is more reflective of the sacred mass, than the image of an executioner of the Cuban people.

The second plea for help: Please allow the Damas de Blanco (Ladies in White) to attend the Holy Mass on September 20, 2015!

Cuba for Dummies!

Everyone is abuzz about the improved relations between the USA and Cuba! The Pope is about to visit Cuba next month! To help with this, El Cafe Cubano will run a daily post on "tips" about Cuba, Cuban exiles, and everything having to do with Cuba......

Ok ready you Cuba Chrome watchers you......

All the Cubans that have been executed, imprisoned, and tortured deserved it according the authorities on anything having to do with Cuba. Cubans before Castro were snooty and they all WORKED for Meyer Lansky in the Casinos(Their were 3 casinos in 1955 in Cuba).

"Miami. is there that a nutty bunch of Cuban exiles have controlled U.S. foreign policy regarding this insignificant island nation. These Cubans, many of whom were Batista supporters and lived high on the hog while that crook ran the country, seem not to have slept a wink since they grabbed their assets and headed to Florida." commented from someone who really knows what happened in Cuba! This from an authority who has a net worth of $50 million.

So let's recap, everything having to do with Cuba or Cuba exiles, these are the authorities:

"Cuba arrests 90 dissidents at protest march"

I thought by opening the Embassies, trading straight up for Alan Gross, and the dialog between the US and Cuba that things would be better for the Cuban people? That's the whole arguement and premise frpm all the classic car lovers right?

Well....

Havana (AFP) - With tense bilateral ties recently renewed after five decades, and top US diplomat John Kerry due in Havana in days, Cuba arrested some 90 activists on Sunday.
Cuban security forces rounded up marchers -- about 50 with the Ladies in White dissident group and around 40 other activists, some wearing masks with the image of US President Barack Obama, according to an AFP reporter.
One protester slammed Obama, and said the December announcement to normalize relations between the former Cold war foes had bolstered Havana's crackdown on dissidents.
"It's his fault, what is happening," said former political prisoner Angel Moya, speaking about Obama.
"The Cuban government has grown even bolder," he added before being detained.
"That's why we have this mask on. Because it's his fault," said Moya, husband of Ladies in White leader Berta Soler.

Uniformed police and plainclothes officers were on hand at the incident in Havana's upscale Miramar district.
When marchers who were not arrested started to leave, pro-government activists chanted "down with the pack of worms."
Kerry will be in Havana Friday for the ceremonial inauguration of the newly reopened US embassy. On January 20, the countries officially reopened embassies in their respective capitals.
Soler said he hoped Kerry would meet with dissident groups and members of non-governmental organizations during the visit.

Soler said he hoped Kerry would meet with dissident groups and members of non-governmental organizations during the visit.

He said he also wants Kerry to pressure Havana to respect human rights in the country, where freedom of assembly and freedom of the press have been criticized.
Washington should "give the Cuban government some conditions to get it to stop violating human rights," Soler told AFP.
Kerry will be the first US secretary of state to visit Cuba since 1945, sealing what will be a major foreign policy legacy of Obama's eight-year tenure.
Cuba is the only one-party Communist-ruled nation in the Americas.

10th anniversary of El Café Cubano…sad day

This August marks the 10th anniversary of the El Café Cubano blog. To me a sad day because Cuba, still after 56 years is in the grip of an outlaw criminal regime. PLEASE, there is no justification for the revolution and it’s crimes. The SOLE objective of El Café Cubano is that of a FREE Cuba.

The origin of this blog started out as a solemn promise to family member many years ago. I hope I have not disappointed or let that person down?

The name for the blog El Café Cubano came about for two reasons: first: most of my treasured memories growing up were simple things like my family sitting at the kitchen table talking (loud!!) and sipping coffee. My dear mother would always wake up the house with that sweet aroma of El Café Cubano. To this day, when this viejo goes home to visit, my mom will put on the cafetera and the saying: do you want Café Cubano? OF COURSE!

Second reason; On several occasions while praying the rosary at the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the smell of Cuban coffee would overwhelm me and I would ask others: do you smell coffee? NO was the response, and a look back that I was crazy!!! Now I don’t know the reason, but I believe it’s a sign.

Hence…El Café Cubano

Cuba will be FREE one day and GOOD will reign over evil, no matter the silence from those who stand silently by the apartheid dictatorship.

Viva Cuba Libre!

God bless the USA!

God bless all of you!
