Adios to El Cafe Cubano?

This blog started out as a solemn promise to a special person and dedicated to a FREE Cuba. The struggle has been going on for 47 years with many frustrations and many deaths! The world does not seem to care. The world acts if the Cuban people deserve this with the absurd justification of free education and free healthcare. The media always ignoring the "real" facts over and over again and always pointing to Cuban-Americans as the bad guys. Ever since I have started this blog, things in my personal life have turned into disarray, and who knows what kind of 'hex" the commies directed to my direction. What really hurts the most is those whom I am closest to and those whom I'd expect to do something, do NOTHING and basically ignore everything that the hard working FREEDOM FIGHTERS do. Believe me I don't do this for fame, nor political office, nor money, or some journalistic endeavor. I am not a journalist or pretend to be one. The FREEDOM FIGHTERS do this for a FREE Cuba and all the political prisoners who have no voice. We currently have a simple fast on Friday mornings for all the political prisoners in Cuba, and yet we have only the usual respondents that do more than enough! Where are you people?
I am sick and tired of all this at many different angles and I will do some serious soul searching the next several days to decide whether El Cafe Cubano will continue. I told a friend and a very dear person that I do this because of the promise and a special calling not because it's what I want to do. To be honest this can be gut wretching and can be emotionally draining.

God bless my FREEDOM loving brethren.

De parte de una lectora asidua, y para decirlo en cubano:
¡No te me caigas ahora!

Con todos y para el bien de todos.

It's time to step back and assess what you hope to accomplish. First is your health including mental health. This situation of limbo I know is very hard for Cubans to take but necessary. We're on the verge of change to be sure! So don't get down dude. It helps no one. You need a hobby and I've got one for you. We can do our Cuban Exile Roundtable on this Radioblog thing that I've started doing. It's easy to do and why don't you set up an account by going to http:www.blogtalkradio.com to set this up and we four can Skype into the show. This will give you something productive to do with your time and then you can vent on the show. It will be fun! But lord don't get down when we're this close. Stay strong!

"If You Don't Fight, You've Already Lost"

My experience has taught me that there are plenty of people who have no trouble judging or degrading our activities as freedom fighters.I learned a lot from it all. this little skirmishes with other cuban bloggers almost every day is very immature and boring.Alfredo, my point is..Your Blog is another puzzle in our Struggle for cuba..Remember Alfredo time is changing don't fall back into that web of insecurities.Look behind you Hermano we are crashing the gates of freedom..Always remember that promise you gave.I know you feel pretty devastated..I can’t tell you how many times I contemplated the same actions. It would be good to ban all cuban bloggers and work together but that's impossible and sad to many egos.People aren’t very able to picture their own heroism..I am hold up the mirror so that you can see the heroism in all the daily ways you post in your blog. And We look forward for more, Alfredo. You are the Voice of the Silent. Amigo y Hermano let's hold this torch for cuba...

Voy a ser breve.....

very short....

but powerful...

sin misericordia....

Estamos en el final del tunel ya....

No nadastes para morir en la orilla

HAY MONTONES DE CUBAN BLOGGERS QUE ESTAN LLENOS DE MIERDA Y DE FALSOS EGOS ...

Y POR ESAS TRES RAZONES DEBES DE QUEDARTE AQUI....

Alfredo,

I cant even begin to tell you the number of times I have felt exactly the same way youre feeling now. I have wanted to just quit hundreds of times. What we do here takes time away from our family, our loved ones, our responsibilities to same and our lives. But if I may, what you do here is important. Our little collection of blogs, this small blog family that doesnt always see eye to eye, may not serve to foster a concrete change in Cuba, but, if anything, our blogs serve as a journal of truths. Our blogs tells the stories of our families and friends and those on the island who dont have voices.

if we do anything here on the net, anything at all, is record the brutality of castro regime and teh desperation the people of Cuba face on a daily basis. And one day, maybe not in the immediate future, but one day, when the veil is lifted and Cuba finally has eyes your blog and Ya No Mas and Killcastro and Blog for Cuba and CubanAmerican pundits and all the others will be what those eyes have hungered for all of these years: la verdad.

I apologize for not having participated in the Friday Fast, its my bad. Consider Babalu a participant from now on.

Don't give up man. I read your blog every day and it is one of the best! We've come so far, and we're so close now. Whatever you do, don't give up. Our goal is just around the corner and when it's all over, you'll look back feel you were instrumental in making it happen, by providing the world with the much needed and hard to get information.

Guao, you're kidding me man?? I'm surprised and a little upset. Let me tell you something mi gran hermano, you were born to do this, you were put on this planet for this reason, whether you feel down, depressed, outraged, mad, pissed, sad, distraught, upset, irritated........so on, you will never leave it, you are making a big difference, believe me. You know why you will not leave this, because you are righteous, you are a caring person and you are not going to take shit from no mother fucker commies. You are exercising your freedom of speech, you are representing all the Cuban-Americans and all the Cuban exiles around the world. When you write your posts, you are speaking for them and they acknowledge that, they need that, they don't want to feel like they are the only ones with these thoughts and aspirations. So what's your next move?? Let me tell you man, before you started to post all your valuable information on your blog, you knew very well what you were going to get involved with, there, right there, you had many opportunites to think about it, to get into something else that didn't deal with this and most importantly, you had many of times to change your mind and not do it at all, but you didn't, you choice to continue. Guao, you see all the choices you had? And you decided to go ahead and open this excellent blog, so you could post your valuable information. So Alfredo, you knew that you will be doing this for the long haul until Cuba was free again. Yeah your leaving, your packing your bags, je je je!!! Where are you going??? You got to be kidding me man. Hey don't forget this, when you are on your trip to "Nowhere", the Cuban people in Cuba do not have any choices at all. No freedom of speech no nothing. Have a nice trip, Jose
